TORBIKUD
Tartu valla segarahvatantsurühm Torbikud – tantsiv torbik ei sammaldu!
Segarühm Torbikud ühendab inimesi, keda seovad armastus Eesti rahvatantsu, hea seltskonna ja ühiste ettevõtmiste vastu. Esimest korda tuldi kokku 1. oktoobril 2009 Tartu Tiigi Seltsimajas ning samal aastal loodi ka MTÜ Rahvatantsuselts Torbikud. Alates 2025. aastast tegutseb Rahvatantsuselts Torbikud Tartu valla kollektiivina.
Praegu tantsib Torbikute nime all kaks segarühma.
Kuigi suurem osa Torbikute tantsijatest on eestlased, on rühm läbi aastate olnud rahvusvaheline. Tantsuhuvilisi on olnud alates Soomest lõpetades Hiinaga. Praegugi tantsib Torbikute ridades noormees Inglismaalt. Nii on Eesti rahvatants jõudnud meie tantsijatega paljudesse maailma paikadesse.
Torbikute moto on „Tantsiv torbik ei sammaldu!“ See väljendab hästi meie rühma olemust – oleme liikuvad, tegusad, uudishimulikud ning valmis uuteks väljakutseteks.
Uue hooaja suur eesmärk on reis Austraaliasse, kus saame esineda, tutvustada Eesti rahvatantsu ja kultuuri ning luua uusi sidemeid kohaliku eestlaskonnaga.
Torbikuid juhendavad Kati Grauberg ja Trine Lepp.![]()

Tartu Parish Mixed Folk Dance Group Torbikud – A dancing Torbik never gathers moss! Torbikud is a mixed folk dance group that brings together people who share a love of Estonian folk dancing, good company and doing things together.
The group first came together on 1 October 2009 at Tiigi Community Centre in Tartu, and the same year saw the establishment of the non-profit organisation Rahvatantsuselts Torbikud. Since 2025, the group has been operating as a folk dance ensemble representing Tartu Parish.
Today, two mixed dance groups perform under the name Torbikud. Over the years, the dancers have participated in every Estonian General and Youth Dance Celebration, as well as county and regional dance festivals, South-Eastern Estonian Dance Festivals, women’s and men’s dance festivals, and winter dance days in Tartu, Kambja and Viljandi.
They have also introduced Estonian folk dancing at international festivals in Italy, Slovakia and Bulgaria. Torbikud does more than preserve traditions — the group also contributes to the development of Estonian folk dance.
Choreographies created by instructors Ave Anslan and Kati Grauberg have been performed at several new dance competitions, earning the group award-winning results.
Although most Torbikud dancers are Estonian, the group has always had an international character. Over the years, dancers have joined from countries ranging from Finland to China. Today, a young man from England is also part of the group.
Through its dancers, Torbikud has helped bring Estonian folk dancing to many corners of the world. The group’s motto is “A dancing Torbik never gathers moss!”
It perfectly captures the spirit of the group — active, energetic, curious and always ready for new challenges. The big goal for the coming season is a trip to Australia, where the group will have the opportunity to perform, share Estonian folk dancing and culture, and build new connections with the local Estonian community.
Torbikud is led by Kati Grauberg and Trine Lepp.
