LOVIISE MÄESALU

Olen laulja ja laulukirjutaja. Mind on tunnustatud noore helilooja eripreemiaga. Laulnud olen juba väga väikesest peale. Festivalil esitan Olav Ehala ning Arvo Pärdi loomingut, et tuua läbi laulude killuke kodumaad Sydnysse.

Praegu õpin klassikalist laulu Sloveenia õpetaja Sergej Ruprehti ja Karlova Kooli õpetaja Karoliina Kriisi juhendamisel.
Kuigi mu repertuaaris on klassikaline laul, siis naudin ka erinevat Eesti heliloomingut. 2026. aasta pühendasin Olav Ehala loomingu esitamisele. Klaveril saadavad mind Marika Lang või Andre Hinn.

Mul on suur lava- ja esinemiskogemus.  Olen osalenud väga paljudel laulukonkurssidel üle maailma, laulnud a’ capella kui ka 30-liikmelise orkestri saatel SanRemos kui ka Tartus ning Vanemuise etendustes jaTubina Festivali raames Krati etenduses laulja ja tantsijana.
Naudin seda kõike väga.

Õpin viiulit ja klaverit Tartu Elleri muusikakoolis ning tegelen tantsimisega Shate tantsukoolis.

2026.a tunnustati mind Kõrge Lennu Stiendiumiga, mida Tartu linna ja Kultuurkapitali koostöös antakse andekale ja edasipüüdlikule noorele oma ande arendamiseks.

I am a singer and songwriter. I have been recognized with a special award for young composers. I have been singing since I was very young. At the festival, I will perform works by Olav Ehala and Arvo Pärt to bring a little piece of my homeland to Sydney through song.

I am currently studying classical singing under the guidance of Sergej Ruprecht, a teacher from Slovenia, and Karoliina Kriis, a teacher at Karlova School.

Although my repertoire consists of classical songs, I also enjoy performing a variety of Estonian compositions. I dedicated 2026 to performing the works of Olav Ehala. I will be accompanied on the piano by Marika Lang or Andre Hinn.

I have extensive stage and performance experience. I have participated in numerous singing competitions around the world, sung a cappella as well as accompanied by a 30-piece orchestra in Sanremo and Tartu, and performed as a singer and dancer in Vanemuine productions and in the Krati performance as part of the Tubin Festival.
I enjoy all of this very much.

I study violin and piano at the Eller Music School in Tartu and take dance classes at the Shate Dance School.
In 2026, I was awarded the Kõrge Lennu Scholarship, which is granted jointly by the City of Tartu and the Cultural Endowment to talented and ambitious young people to help them develop their talents.
