Discover the Estonian Spirit in our Arts and Crafts
The committee of the XXIX Estonian Cultural Festival in Australia has the pleasure of inviting you to submit works of art and craft to a group exhibition showcasing the work of Estonian artists resident in Australia.
This is a call to all active arts and crafts groups based across Australia. It would be exciting to see co-operative and communal works exhibited, as well as individual creations.
Exhibition Dates
Upstairs at Eesti Maja, 200 Jeffcott Street, NORTH ADELAIDE
Entry forms due: 30th November 2024
Works to be submitted to the exhibition room
Thursday 26th December between 11am and 4pm
Opening Ceremony: Saturday, December 28 th 2pm – 2.30pm
Exhibition times:
Saturday, December 28 th 1pm – 4pm
Sunday, December 29 th 1pm – 4pm
Monday, December 30 th 11am – 2pm and 3.30pm – 4pm
Closing Ceremony: Monday, December 30 th 12.30pm – 1pm
Works must be collected between 9-12 midday on Tuesday, 31st December.
Exhibition Conditions
As with every arts and crafts exhibition, there are a few conditions for this year’s (2024) arts and crafts showing. Please take note of the following:
- Your work must be of a quality suitable for exhibition and/or sale
- The exhibition has the aim of displaying arts and crafts created in the past 3 years
- All items must be clearly labelled with your name and phone number. If the item is for sale, the sale price must be included. If it is for exhibition only, kindly label the ID tag “NFS”
- If you have multiple numbers of similar items, these must be numbered on the application form and on the ID tag bearing your name and phone number
- If your work is best displayed on a wall, please supply the necessary wire and hook
- The application forms must reach the organiser by 30th November 2024
- The exhibition will be held at Adelaide’s Eesti Maja, 200 Jeffcott Street, North Adelaide, SA, 5006
- All works submitted are required to be exhibited for the entire duration of the exhibition
- Works must be delivered to and collected from Adelaide’s Eesti Maja on the specified dates and during the times indicated. If this is unachievable for a valid reason, the artist must make contact to discuss alternate arrangements.
- Artists will need to deliver their art- and craftworks to Adelaide’s Eesti Maja on 26th December 2024 between 11am and 4pm
Works will need to be collected from Adelaide’s Eesti Maja on 31st December 2024 between 9-12 midday
Under no circumstances will items be accepted on the day of the exhibition - Neither the Adelaide Eesti Päevad 2024 Committee nor the Estonian Society of Adelaide will be held responsible for any loss or damage whatsoever caused to the works while in our custody
- Please note: There will be a 20% commission on sales
