TUURIT-TUURIT

The folk dance group Tuurit-Tuurit has been based in Pärnu since 2008. In March 2026, we reached adulthood — turning 18! But that doesn’t mean we’re about to change our attitude towards folk dancing, become more reserved or give up our love of surprising our audiences.
We’re not your typical folk dance group — we’re a little unconventional! Some of our dance numbers are literally turned upside down. Our repertoire includes many dances from Estonia’s rich folk dance heritage, but we also weave in elements of acrobatics, contemporary dance and completely innovative interpretations.
Our longer concert performances are not simply a series of dances presented one after another; instead, they are complete dance productions, each telling its own story.
The group is led by the creative and innovative Eneli Rüütli, alongside Kardo Ojassalu, who delights audiences with his acrobatic tricks. Tuurit-Tuurit has more than 20 active dancers, whose experience ranges from just a few years to several decades.
We have performed throughout Estonia and at festivals across Europe, as well as further afield in the United States, China and South Korea.
One of our goals is to show that folk dancing is an exciting and evolving part of Estonian culture — something wonderful to watch and a joy to take part in.
Our motto: “Let’s create joy together!”
